AVILLA, IN – November 22, 2020
As part of its continued focus and dedication to encourage, support, educate, and bring awareness to our community’s businesses and services, the Avilla Chamber of Commerce has added Avilla Gift Checks to its We Love Local Program.
The We Love Local Program highlights the importance of buying and supporting local first, which creates and maintains businesses, and employment, and also assists in sustaining and building up our community’s economy and lifestyle.
Just months ago, with the generous support from sponsors St. James Restaurant and R&C Fab, the chamber implemented its Avilla Community Card. The egift card can be used to buy products and services at area businesses that accept them. “In the age of having our cell phones on hand at all times, this digital gift card is a convenient and thoughtful gift,” says Kevin Kelly, President of the Avilla Chamber. “The Avilla Community Card can be emailed to recipients and they can print them or show them on-screen, using their phone, at checkout.” The cards can be purchased at chamberofavilla.org and come in any dollar increment that you select, up to $250 and there are no additional costs for purchasing.
Since some businesses do not process credit cards, the Avilla Chamber wanted to be able to assist all businesses. With the help of Digital Seed and Community State Bank, the Avilla Gift Checks Program has just been launched. You may purchase checks in increments of $10, $25, and $50, online or over the phone. The checks are redeemable at any business that has joined the program and come with a complimentary envelope for gifting.
“The Avilla Chamber believes that the new program will add even more convenience and efficiency for participating businesses and add more options to consumers who wish to support their friends’ and neighbors’ local businesses,” Kelly stated.
Currently, customers may use their cards or checks to pay for products and services such as utilities, gas, apparel, food, mechanical services, tax preparation, and foliage. Visit chamberofavilla.org to see our growing list of merchants and services.
All businesses in the Avilla area are encouraged to participate for free.
