Business Community Awards

The Avilla Chamber of Commerce considers it an honor to have the opportunity to recognize our members and the businesses and non-profit organizations in the community for their successes!

The Avilla Chamber Business Community Awards is the perfect way to recognize clients, colleagues, and friends whose businesses have distinguished themselves by their accomplishments and contributions to the local community.

Do you know a business or non-profit which is registered with the State of Indiana and is either a member of the Avilla Chamber or is located in the 46710 zip code and does outstanding work and deserves recognition for its business achievements and ethics?

Nominate them today for one of the following categories:

  • Business of the Year – This award will be given to a business that has shown a strong commitment to their community and has a substantiated record as an established business. The company has to have demonstrated growth through at least two years of operations and has a history of providing superior customer service.
  • Businessman of the Year – This award recognizes an individual with a widely recognized reputation as a successful manager and community leader.
  • Businesswoman of the Year – This award recognizes an individual with a widely recognized reputation as a successful manager and community leader.
  • Family-Owned Business of the Year – This award goes to a well-established family-owned business where the executive leadership has been passed on from one generation to another and has demonstrated excellence in their industry and has a history of outstanding customer service.
  • Non-profit Organization of the Year – This award will be given to a local non-profit organization that distinguishes itself through excellence in pursuit of its mission, while meeting a defined public need, providing outstanding service to its constituents and the community, demonstrating good stewardship of donor dollars and sound business ethics and practices. This organization must also be recognized as tax-exempt and designated as a public charity under Section 501 (c)3 of the IRS code.
  • Solopreneur of the Year – This award is presented to an individual who has shown a strong commitment to their community, and has a substantiated record as an established business. This entrepreneur has to have demonstrated growth through at least two years of operations and shows a strong commitment to good business practices.
  • Young Professional of the Year – This award is presented to an individual, 30 years of age or younger, who demonstrates growing excellence, creativity, and initiative in their professional field, is engaged in the community, and shows a strong commitment to good business practices.
